NOTICE OF YOUR FINANCIAL PRIVACY RIGHTS 

We, Our, and Us means Jacksonville Firemen's Credit Union. This is our privacy notice for our members. When we use the words "you" and "your", we mean the following types of members:
  • All of our consumer members who have a continuing relationship with us, such as:
  • Deposit Accounts
  • Loan Accounts
  • Credit Card Accounts

We will tell you the sources for nonpublic personal information we collect on our members. We will tell you what measures we take to secure than information.

Terms:

Nonpublic personal information means information about you we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records.

An affiliate is a company we own or control.

A non-affiliated third party is a company that is not an affiliate of ours.

 

THE INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT:

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or others forms
  • Information about your transactions with us
  • Information about your transactions with non-affiliates third parties
  • Information from a consumer reporting agency

 

 INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE ABOUT YOU:

We do NOT disclose any nonpublic information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law.

  

THE CONFIDENTIALITY, SECURITY AND INTEGRITY OF YOUR NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION:

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

  

NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION AND FORMER MEMBERS:

We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about former members, except as permitted by law.

 

 

 
 

 

JACKSONVILLE FIREMEN'S CREDIT UNION DISCLOSURES

 

NOTIFICATION THAT NEGATIVE INFORMATION WILL BE OR HAS BEEN SENT TO CREDIT BUREAUS:

Any Financial Institution that submits negative information to National Credit Reporting Agencies must give consumers a one-time written notice that they have done so or will do so.

JFCU will report negative information regarding your account to National Credit Reporting Agencies, if such negative information becomes relevant to your account(s).

 

 ATM/DEBIT CARD DECLINE OPTIONS FOR PURCHASES:

Effective August 15, 2010, debit card purchases and ATM withdrawals will be denied if sufficient funds are not available in your Primary and/or Overdraft Account (ie. Savings, Checking, etc.). In order to alleviate any of these items being returned for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) please contact a member services representative to OPT-IN to our Member Privilege Program. If you do not OPT-IN to our Member Privilege Program or we do not receive a response from you beginning 08/15/10 we will not authorize your everyday debit card purchases or ATM drafts from your checking account. Please contact a member service representative on or after August 15, 2010 for more information regarding our Member Privilege Program.

USA PATRIOT ACT:

In accordance with the USA Patriot Act, we are required to obtain the following information when opening a new account by mail or INTERNET

  • Notarized copy of your driver's license or other valid government identification
  • Notarized copy of a billing statement, such as a cable, telephone, or utility bill.
